When my husband, Nephus, died in January 1998, I was left with two teenagers, Reginald and Tiffany, to raise by myself. But because of LegalShield, I didn’t have to worry about my income.

Prior to LegalShield, I worked for a major oil company earning an annual income of almost $60,000. I received top performance ratings but downsizing came, and I didn’t have a plan B. I recommend that everyone get a plan B.

I was introduced to LegalShield at an all-day business opportunity seminar. The last presenter was Russell Peden representing LegalShield. I was exhausted and ready to leave, but thank God I stayed.

When Russell Peden gave the presentation, he told a story about the service. The story he told could have been about anybody, including me. Bad things happen to good people. The opportunity was endless, and I knew I wanted to be a part of this revolution.

I love helping people. This opportunity—through my organization—has helped thousands of families.

I have the time to do what I want to do, when I want to do it. In my personal life, a great moment happened in 2008, when Fred and I married. Together, we have four children and six grandchildren.

In October 2014, I was privileged to care for Fred, after he had a stroke. We lost his two streams of income. He was in the hospital and rehab center for four months and is still receiving physical therapy. I went from part-time in LegalShield to spare-time. Because of my team, our quality of life has not changed. Thank you, LegalShield.

LegalShield has allowed me the opportunity to travel and meet lots of wonderful people. Thank you, team, and thank you, Russell and Carole Peden, for your encouragement. The next three years are going to be record-breaking for our team and for LegalShield.

For more than seven years with LegalShield, I did nothing with the business except receive overrides. In July 2003, one of my Directors, Don Johnson, called me and said, “I’m going to sell 25 memberships this month. Let’s go for Bronze Executive Director!”

I was so excited. We reached the Bronze Executive Director level in August 2003 and got paid on it in September 2003. By April 2004, I had earned my LegalShield Ring working part-time. Special thanks goes to the team and my workout partner, Phil Jones.

The most exciting moment I’ve had with this company is when I spoke at the 2004 Las Vegas Leadership Summit when I received my Ring on stage.

We have experienced many adventurous vacations with LegalShield’s incentive trips, including an exciting trip to beautiful Jamaica. 

In December 2018, I had my highest income month of the year, and I finally experienced what true residual income means. It means doing what you want when you want with less stress and more fun, and it gives me the ability to serve others while maximizing my own personal goals. Thanks, team!
