About Paul

After graduation from Capital University Law School in 1997, Paul began his legal career with the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney’s office. As part of the first gang prosecution unit Paul worked on a multitude of long term investigations into street gang in Columbus. Paul also worked closely with fire investigators as the arson prosecutor until he left the office in 2003 to start his own private practice in Youngstown. In 2005 he was offered a position as an assistant prosecutor in Delaware County. During his time in Delaware he began teaching trial advocacy with the National District Attorneys Association. In 2007 Paul was tapped to start the special prosecutions unit for the Ohio Attorney General. There he headed a unit of experienced prosecutors who traveled the state assisting local prosecutors with major felony offenses. It was during this time that Paul developed a specialty in homicide prosecutions and during his 10 plus years in the unit he handled over 50 homicide cases, 26 of which went to trial to verdict. He joined MSH in January 2018 with over 20 years of trial experience, both as a practitioner and an instructor. He brings a wealth of trial experience to the firm and when not trying cases in a court room he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his 4 children and his wife Wendy.
