About Erik

I am a Delaware native born and raised in Wilmington. I hold degrees from Widener University (B.A. 1979; M.B.A. 1985) and Villanova University School of Law (J.D. 1985). I am also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). After law school, I served as a Deputy Attorney General in the Delaware Department of Justice where I represented various State agencies, boards, and commissions, including the Delaware Industrial Accident Board, the Department of Transportation, and the Division of Social Services, as well as representing State actors and agents in civil litigation matters brought against them in their official capacities, such as the Prison Warden in lawsuits brought by inmates alleging violations of the Constitutional rights or cases brought by disgruntled bidders seeking an injunction to stop the State Director of Transportation from awarding a contract for laying new roads. After leaving public service, I worked with Wilmington-based firms and gained valuable experience in a wide range of areas and I appeared in every Court of the State of Delaware. In 2010, I was named by Main Line Today magazine as a ‘Top Lawyer’ for Business Law. I am a former instructor for the National Academy of Paralegal Studies, Inc., where I taught classes in Torts, Civil Procedure, and Corporations. I volunteer as a guardian ad litem for the Delaware Office of Child Advocate where I represent the interests of children who have been removed from their home and placed in the custody of the State. I also volunteer in many local and community events and projects.
