About Cheryl

Cheryl Peterson has practiced law since 1988. She is an experienced attorney, having represented both federal and state government, municipalities and private individual and commercial clients in federal and state courts, including in high profile cases. She has been the lead attorney in several civil bench trials with successful outcomes. She has provided legal counsel and drafted documents in: residential and commercial real estate matters including leases, business sales and acquisitions, intellectual property matters, employment and family law cases and collection issues.Cheryl loves equestrian activities and hiking in the Colorado foothills. She is passionate about environmental issues, and she has taught environmental law seminars to government and private entities in her areas of specialty. Before going to law school, Cheryl worked as a biologist for 5 years at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. While there, she was awarded the Civilian Bronze Medal for outstanding government service.
