University of Kansas (B.A., 1975; J.D., 1978). Douglas County (Secretary-Treasurer, 1992; Vice-President, 1994; president, 1995), Kansas and American Bar Associations; American Inns of Court (Judge Hugh Means, 1992-94). John is currently licensed to practice in Kansas, in state and federal court. He joined the firm in 1987. He is engaged in the general practice of law, that includes civil litigation, real estate issues, business issues, family issues, personal injury, torts and contract disputes, elder law, wills and trusts and probate work. For more than 25 years he served as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Kansas School of Law helping law students hone their courtroom skills. He serves as counsel to a county drainage district and rural water district.
