“Whatever you think you can do or believe you can do, begin it. Action has magic, grace and power in it.” Thus, our journey began. And what a long, strange trip it’s been!

Steve was working a dead-end job. Mike was seriously broke. Kim was working for a bank in Canada and hated her job. “There has to be another way,” she thought. She met Rob MacKenzie, and he introduced her to ‘another way.’ Rob was also working with Mike and Steve. Before too long he introduced the brothers to Kim. They joined forces, and in 1999, they earned their $100,000 and their $250,000 Rings and grew a Platinum team. In 2002, they were inducted into the Millionaire Club as charter members. In 2009, they earned their $500,000 Ring, and in 2017, they crossed the $600,000 mark.

In 2012, Steve published his first book, 162, the Misadventures of a Yankee Fanatic, which chronicled his Yankee tour of 2011 when he attended every game of the year. He repeated the task in 2018, becoming the first fan to ever do that twice. His last book, 30 Ways in 30 Days, continues to sell well and to help people, especially network marketers, enjoy more success in life.

“Our proudest accomplishment,” Kim said, “is our non-profit foundation: Work, Play, Love.” Through their efforts aligned with so many other LegalShield associates, they raised the money to build a girls’ orphanage in Mixco, Guatemala. They continue to raise money each year to support the girls’ home and the boys’ home next door.

Over this past year, the trio are very thankful to the company’s leadership and a special tip of the cap to Don Thompson, who has taken on the task of growing the networking side of the business.

Among the family’s celebrations in 2019 was the release and the subsequent success of The Farewell, a film produced by Mike’s daughter Dani. “When we started in network marketing,” Steve said, “Dani had just turned 9. It’s been amazing to watch her grow and to admire her vision and initiative.”

Mike’s other kids are doing great. Jessi took her soccer-loving sons to the World Cup in France. Willie and his gal finally got their house rebuilt (which had burned in a California wildfire). And Luke along with his wife, Jeanhee, moved with their two daughters to Singapore after traveling to Bali and Thailand. Steve’s daughter, Macy Grace, is growing into a beautiful young lady. And Kim is the spiritual godmother to all the kids in the orphanages in Guatemala, as she visits on a regular basis.

All in all, we are so grateful for the opportunity itself; we are grateful for those folks we have forged lifelong friendships with. We are grateful to our team here in LegalShield and especially those leaders who work with us week in and week out. A special shout-out goes to Rob and Charlene, Brad and Moira, Anita, Chip, Bill and Michelle, John Busch, Charlie Fowler, Bob and Vicki Levy and Patti Stoltz.

Our latest source of gratitude can be traced to Richard Estrada’s team, which has been taking the Hispanic market by storm.

Our plans for 2020 include expanding our presence on social media and learning to grow our team further through those platforms. Despite all the success we have been able to achieve here in LegalShield, still, the best is yet to come.
