Growing up in the shoe business, I lived above my parents’ shoe store the first five years of my life. Later, I sold shoes in my father’s stores while attending school. After college, I was hired by a Fortune 500 shoe company, and by age 30, I became a vice president for Brown Shoe. After 23 years there, I was recruited by the hottest company in the business, Nine West, and I traveled for them for years.

I started a shoe company with a friend and two European gentlemen. Unfortunately, our source of capital pulled out. We closed the business and lost a great portion of my savings. Not having legal resources to protect us was a hard lesson.

A year later, a friend told me about LegalShield. Because I traveled in many states, traffic tickets were a common occurrence but were difficult to get legal help with since I didn’t have access to someone for help in each state. After having our Will prepared, dealing with an insurance problem and having tickets downgraded to non-moving violations at no additional cost, I called my LegalShield representative and said, “You have got to sell my adult children this plan.” He asked, “Why don’t you sell them?” The rest is history.
