Kevin Knight received his undergraduate degree with highest honors from the University of Central Florida. While attending law school at Stetson University, he served as Executive Editor of the Law Review and his writing was published in the Stetson Law Review. He was a Dana Scholar and was recipient of the Walter Mann Graduation Award. Kevin has litigated several cases related to personal injury claims, administrative matters, employment matters, real estate contracts, joint ventures, landlord/tenant and corporate matters.

Deborah Glover-Pearcey is an Attorney of our firm. She was born in Augusta Georgia. Deborah Glover-Pearcey received her Bachelor’s Degree from Florida A&M University in 1984, majoring in Criminal Justice. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Florida State University in 1988. Prior to coming to DSK LAW she operated a successful law firm and is a skilled trial litigator in personal injury, government law, bankruptcy, workers compensation and family law and has handled complex probate, estate planning and trust matters. She has a passion for helping families affected by cancer and other serious illnesses and diseases. She is married and has two adult children.

Darrell Garvey was born in Tallahassee, Florida and attended high school and college in New York State. He attended the State University of New York at Maritime College where he played ice hockey and was a member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. Darrell received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Ocean Engineering. He spent seven years as a nuclear engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding Company. He left NNS to attend law school at the College of William & Mary, Marshall Wythe School of Law where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi. Darrell was admitted to the Florida Bar in1992.In 2011, Darrell had the opportunity to strike out on his own with a partner where he continued his commercial real estate practice. Darrell has four adult children with his wife Cathleen.

Bart Valdes founded the Tampa office of DSK Law in 2005 and is the Firm’s Managing Partner in Tampa. Bart is a Board Certified Specialist in Business Litigation by the Florida Bar. As a Board Certified Specialist, Bart is considered to be an expert in the area of business litigation. Board certification is the Florida Bar’s highest level of evaluation of the competency and experience of attorneys. Also, Bart holds the highest ranking an individual attorney can receive (AV), as designated by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. Bart has represented a variety of the Firm’s clients including small business owners, individuals, local governments, insurance companies, medium and large corporations, as well as nation-wide institutional clients in a wide range of matters. Bart has litigated, and continues to litigate, complex trial matters related to contract disputes, property disputes, eminent domain and condemnation actions, real estate disputes, insurance matters and general business disputes. Bart also has extensive litigation experience in the areas of landlord and tenant disputes, bankruptcy, probate, trust and estate matters, foreclosure cases, corporate and partnership disputes, collections, construction matters, land use, zoning and code enforcement matters and local government disputes. Additionally, Bart has significant experience in general business, corporate and real estate matters. Bart has represented clients in state and federal court actions (both at trial and on appeal) as well as in administrative proceedings.

Vaios Zamakis was born in Athens Greece and migrated to Boston Massachusetts, with his parents, in December of 1970. He grew up in Boston and lived in Massachusetts for over 30 years. Vaios owned and managed a retail clothing store for 12 years, starting at the age of 20. He attended clothing shows in New York and Los Angeles in the 1980s. He attended the University of Massachusetts in Dorchester Mass., where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree, in physical education, in 1991. In 1997 Vaios commenced his legal education and graduated from New England School of Law in Boston with a Juris Doctorate. He relocated to Florida in 2002 and managed his parent’s commercial plaza in Port Richey. Vaios has worked in the legal shield department for 17 years. Vaios is an avid Boston sports fan and adores vacationing and traveling with his only daughter.

Heather Lorenz was born in Denver, Colorado, and raised in Casselberry, Florida. After receiving an undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida in 1999, she was awarded her Juris Doctorate, with honors, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2004. Heather is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts. She has developed her legal experience with various firms in the Central Florida area and has served as a Better Business Bureau of Central Florida Lemon Law Arbitrator. When away from work Heather enjoys spending time with her two daughters, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors.

Raquel Santiago, LLM, JD, CSP-SHRM Raquel After completing a BA in Labor Relations from the University of Puerto Rico, attorney Santiago focused her career on the Human Resources field where she occupied several managerial and consulting positions working with organizations in the governmental, non-profit and private sectors, both in local and international settings. She has vast experience providing consulting services and legal representation to stakeholders of multi-cultural & cross-functional backgrounds, and successfully has led complex projects focusing on compliance with federal and state regulations. Raquel enjoys serving the community in a volunteer capacity, particularly in areas related to immigration services. Tami L. Nicholls is an Associate Attorney with our firm. Ms. Nicholls was born in Melbourne, Florida. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Florida A&M College of Law and was admitted to the Florida and District of Columbia bar in 2010. Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Nicholls was an entrepreneur, who owned and operated a solo legal practice along with several other businesses in her local community. She has been a driving force in her community not only in business but also in volunteer and charity work. Ms. Nicholls has organized and thrown various charity events along with being a proud member of many local animal rescues.

I have had the privilege of calling Central Florida home for over twenty years. Originally born in Daytona Beach and raised in Miami, I developed a love for sports early on. I later moved to Orlando to attend the University of Central Florida, where I pursued my academic goals. I’m happily married to my wonderful wife, Alex Hyatt, and together we have four amazing children. In my free time, I enjoy staying active at the gym and practicing Jiu Jitsu for fun. I also enjoy traveling with my family. “Marcus began his law enforcement career with the Orlando Police Department, where he served in the Patrol Division and as a member of the Neighborhood Patrol Unit. This unit was established to foster positive relationships with community members in high-call-volume areas, aiming to rebuild trust between the police and residents following the George Floyd tragedy. As Youth Outreach Coordinator, Marcus worked to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the youth of Orlando. In this role, he helped manage large federal grants and organized the Orlando Police Department’s first field trip to Washington D.C. for students in the Junior Reserve Law Enforcement Program. The program, initially launched at Jones High School and Lake Nona High School, provided students with valuable insights into law enforcement. Marcus worked directly under the supervision of Police Chief Orlando Rolón before transitioning to a role as a detective in the Sex Crimes division. After leaving the police department, Marcus pursued a legal career and became an attorney, where he focused on handling first-party property cases as a plaintiff attorney.”

Michelle Tuschinski is an attorney with a diverse legal background shaped by her experiences as a military spouse and mother of four children. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Michelle discovered the joys of living in Florida while pursuing her undergraduate degree at Florida State University. Following her summa cum laude graduation in 2001, she decided to stay and obtain her law degree from the Florida State University College of Law, graduating in 2005. Her 22 years supporting her husband’s naval career took her across the United States and to Japan, exposing her to a wide range of legal practices. Now settled in her dream beachside location with her four children and beloved pets, Michelle brings her unique perspective and dedication to her clients. Outside of work, she cherishes time with her family and her goldendoodle and sheepadoodle.
